The Golden Notebook

Hi everyone,
I wanted to call this note, “The golden notebook”.

Sometime ago I heard the old saying, “They died with the music still in them”.
Its a very real thought for all of us. We have dreams, we have small thoughts
and ideas just waiting for us to put action to, but for some reason we do not get
to it. It really is such a shame to pass on from this world with unstarted dreams,
and talents left undeveloped. We think time is on our side but time passes so
quickly, silently, and like as a thief in the night comes, it is stolen from us with
little to no opposition.

About a year ago my family lost a precious young lady, a mother, daughter, sister
and friend to many. She was my niece, a beautiful young woman who lived so
passionately and purposefully. Each day her energy knew no bounds as she
filled every opportunity to be an amazing mother to her children and a friend to
all. She was not a mother or friend just in word, but in actions of love and care,
nothing was too much trouble for her.

A few weeks before she passed, I got to visit her. As we shared a little and just
visited, she handed me a golden folder with a notebook inside. Her words were,
“It is not worth much but if you would like it, I would like you to have it”.

I carry this notebook everywhere. Not only because of sentimental value, but it
reminds me to live fully like the original owner . She left a wonderful gift for me,
a book to write dreams and plans in. I write thoughts in it as I travel near and
far. I look at this simple note book and am reminded always to live my best and
fullest life like the owner did.

Do not put off what we can begin today. Enjoy all things and endure hardships
with grace, love and patience. Live out this life and when we pass on, it cannot
be said of us, “They died with the music in them”.

Sing your best song, live your greatest life, love in difficult times and wonderful
times. Learn to put regrets behind by building a better future.

God Bless you,
Adrienne

  1. These words contained in this blog are golden, just the book carried by the author. May we take to heart the thoughts expressed in it as we live out the plans God puts in motion for us all.
